Travelling to the Sepang International Circuit by car or motorcycle is convenient, with direct access via Malaysia’s major expressways. The circuit is well signposted from all key routes, making navigation straightforward from Kuala Lumpur and surrounding cities.
Parking is available within the circuit grounds. (For major race weekends, arrive early as traffic congestion and parking queues can be significant.)
From Kuala Lumpur
- Distance: Approximately 60 km
- Travel Time: 45 minutes – 1 hour (depending on traffic)
- Route: Take the North–South Expressway (E2) or ELITE Highway (E6) towards KLIA. Continue past the KLIA exit and follow the signs to Sepang International Circuit.
From KLIA
- Distance: Approximately 10 km
- Travel Time: 10–15 minutes
- Route: Follow Jalan KLIA and the signs to Sepang International Circuit.
- (The circuit is only a short drive from both KLIA terminals.)
From Seremban
- Distance: Approximately 50 km
- Travel Time: Around 45 minutes
- Route: Travel north via the North–South Expressway (E2), take the KLIA/LCCT exit, then follow the signs to the circuit.
From Shah Alam
- Distance: Approximately 45 km
- Travel Time: 40–50 minutes
- Route: Take the ELITE Highway (E6) towards KLIA and continue past the airport. Follow the signs to the circuit.
From Putrajaya
- Distance: Approximately 30 km
- Travel Time: Around 30 minutes
- Route: Take the Putrajaya–Dengkil Highway towards KLIA, then follow the signs to the circuit.
From Petaling Jaya
- Distance: Approximately 55 km
- Travel Time: 50 minutes – 1 hour (depending on traffic)
- Route: Take the ELITE Highway (E6) towards KLIA, continue past the airport, and follow the signs to the circuit.
From Melaka
- Distance: Approximately 110 km
- Travel Time: Around 1 hour 15 minutes
- Route: Head north via the North–South Expressway (E2), exit towards KLIA/LCCT, then follow the signs to the circuit.
- (A straightforward drive with expressway access for most of the journey.)
From Johor Bahru
- Distance: Approximately 300 km
- Travel Time: Around 3 hours
- Route: Take the North–South Expressway (E2) north, exit towards KLIA/LCCT, then follow the signs to the circuit.

From Ipoh
- Distance: Approximately 250 km
- Travel Time: Around 3 hours
- Route: Travel south via the North–South Expressway (E1), connect to the ELITE Highway (E6) towards KLIA, then follow the signs to the circuit.
Driving Tips
- Most expressways are tolled. (Ensure you have a Touch ‘n Go card or RFID enabled for a smoother journey.)
- Fuel stations and rest areas are available along all major highways.
- During Formula 1 and other major events, allow extra travel time due to increased traffic around KLIA and the circuit.
